Nicole Y. Smith is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow who teaches 9th-grade English and coordinated the AVID program at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock. Nicole previously served as a student council co-sponsor and ESL Coordinator. Nicole was a Fulbright-Hays Project Abroad Fellow (2017) and was awarded a superintendent’s citation for it. Nicole is a National Board Certified Teacher in English and a member of the Arkansas Education Association and the Little Rock Education Association. Nicole holds a BA and MEd in English from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She also holds an MA in English from Tufts University.
