VeAundrea Smith is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and Instructional Interventionist in Susquehanna Township School District in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She serves on the school’s Professional Development Committee. VeAundrea was named her school’s Teacher of the Month (February 2025). Previously, VeAundrea taught in New Mexico, where she was a Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow (2018-2019) and served as a Teacher Liaison for the New Mexico Public Education Department (2017–2021). Her contributions to the New Mexico Secretary of Education’s Advisory Team (2020-21) helped shape instructional equity and statewide learning initiatives. Leadership roles, such as grade-level chair and instructional team lead, allowed her to guide collaborative planning, facilitate data-driven discussions, and support peer development. VeAundrea earned her BS in elementary education from Benedict College, MEd from Grand Canyon University, and completed doctoral coursework in educational leadership at Walden University.
