Melissa Snyder is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. Melissa is a 4th grade teacher at Pine Ridge Elementary in Aurora, Colorado. Along with her classroom roles, Melissa is part of her safety committee and serves as a RAiSE Mentor to new teachers in her district. Melissa has been a specials teacher focusing on SEL, a 1st and 5th grade teacher, as well as served on her school’s PBIS and Sunshine Club committees. She earned her BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Multicultural Studies at California State University, Long Beach and an MA in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in Reading and Writing from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is also a certified reading teacher.
