Spencer Burrows is a 2018-19 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Spencer teaches middle school history, politics, mock trial, and debate at The City School in Los Angeles. Spencer also serves as adjunct faculty at National University, where he teaches a graduate course in Content Area Instruction and Assessment. He helped launch Crete Academy, a South Los Angeles elementary school for homeless and low-income students and previously served as academic dean for the UCLA SIG Program and a summer leader for Building Excellent Schools. His articles on education policy have been featured in the Huffington Post and LA School Report. Spencer graduated from UCLA with a BA in Psychology and received his JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
