Anne Spitz is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and itinerant teacher of the visually impaired for ages 3–21 in the Boston Public Schools in Boston. She serves as a Boston Teachers Union representative for her department and a mentor teacher. Anne was a member of the Co-Lab Equity Leader cohort (2025–2026) and contributed to the book Beginning with Braille from American Foundation for the Blind Press (2016). She has led braille literacy workshops, piloted blindness technology, and worked on projects to increase accessible testing for braille readers at state and national levels. Anne earned a BS in elementary education, MEd in teaching the visually impaired from Boston College, and completed postgraduate coursework in orientation, mobility, and vision studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
