Liz Spradling

Liz Spradling is a 2025-26 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow, and physics and Advanced Placement environmental science teacher at Stratford High School in Houston. She especially focuses on neurodivergent learners and teaching the whole child. Liz is a longtime leader including serving as department chair and classroom management specialist. She was named Teacher of the Year at her first campus (2006) and has been nominated every year for Teacher of the Year at subsequent campuses. Liz began her teaching career with an Alternative Certification Program (ACP) via Texas State University and came full circle by writing curriculum for Texas Teachers’ ACP program (2016). She earned a BS in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and completed three years of graduate study as a veterinary student at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
