Dr. Nichola St. James is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Texas RISD Change Agent and 11th grade CTE teacher at Richardson Healthcare Careers Academy in Richardson, TX. Dr. St. James is the diversity committee lead for RHCA and a 7th year teacher. She is coordinating the equity and diversity committee for RHCA, focusing on gender diversity and retention within the healthcare careers pathway. Nichola began teaching health in Colorado in 2016 and has since added CTE, health science and sports medicine, and wellness certifications to her resume. She earned her DAT and a certificate in higher education from Temple University, Philadelphia (2020), alternative teaching certification through UC Denver in 2017, MS in Exercise Science and Corrective Exercise from University of California (2015), and BS in athletic training from New Mexico State University (2014). She is a BOC certified athletic trainer and remains active in both career fields.
