Stephanie Piazza is a Teach Plus California Teaching Policy Fellow. She is the 8th grade humanities teacher at St. Hope Public School’s PS7 Middle School in Sacramento. In addition to teaching reading, writing, and history to her 8th graders, she supports her school’s reading block and reading-related events. She has served as an academic dean of humanities at Achievement First East New York Middle School. Stephanie has also taught at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy and Florence Nightingale Middle School and has worked as a manager of teacher leadership development at Teach for America. When she was a Teach Plus Los Angeles Teaching Policy Fellow, she contributed to the book Learning from the Experts with the piece “Satisfactory? Me? Giving New Teachers the Support They Deserve.” She earned her BA in Philosophy at Scripps College and her MA in Teaching at Loyola Marymount University.
