Anthony Stetzenmeyer is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and high school chemistry teacher at Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan. He serves as science department chair and is his school’s professional development coordinator. Anthony has been a Student Council adviser, contributed to the directing team for the theater program, and founded the Gender and Sexuality Alliance. He has written for and collaborated with ChemEd X and presented at the National Science Teaching Association’s National Conference (2025 and 2026) and National Association of Biology Teachers conference (2025). Anthony began his teaching career as a 2016 Knowles Teacher Initiative Fellow, later serving the Knowles community as co-chair of the Professional Development Facilitators Collaborative, a peer advisor to its literary magazine, and coach to beginning teachers. He later became a Master Science Teaching Fellow and was selected by the College Board to serve as an Advanced Placement (AP) Champion for AP Chemistry (2026). Anthony earned a BS and MS in chemistry from St. John’s University in Queens, New York, and an MA in secondary education from the University of Michigan.
