Candace Stricklin is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Harmony Teacher Advisory Cabinet Member. Candace is a 1st grade teacher at Harmony Science Academy in Fort Worth, Texas. She has taught 1st grade for eight years and has been a teacher leader on the school’s Instructional Leadership Team for two consecutive years and was named 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year. She has been a mentor teacher, curriculum writer, and a system course leader. Candace has directed and coordinated several after-school clubs such as a board games club and a virtual field trip club. She graduated from Tarleton State University with a BS in education and received her MEd in curriculum and instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
