Susana Ríos is a Teach Plus New Mexico Teaching Policy Fellow. Susana teaches language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies in English and Spanish in a 2nd grade dual-language classroom at Sonoma Elementary, where she serves as the school bilingual lead. She is a member of the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE), the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC), and the New Mexico Teacher Leader Network School Liaison program. Susana earned a master of arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a doctorate degree in Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educational Learning Technologies and a minor in Bilingual Education from New Mexico State University. She is currently working on her Teaching National Board certification.
