Suzanne Holcomb is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow who teaches 5th grade at Mary Beck Elementary in Elkhart. Suzanne is a member of Mary Beck’s Guiding Coalition as well as the grade level teacher leader. Suzanne has been the recipient of an innovative grant that created a makerspace and clothes closet for her building. An 18-year educator, Suzanne has taught multiple grade levels and served as her campus’ Technology Coordinator and presented at the Indiana Computer Education conference during her tenure. Suzanne has been awarded the 2020 Indiana Library Federation’s Read Aloud Champion Award and was named the 2015-2016 Elkhart Community Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year. Suzanne graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a BA in Elementary Education and from Indiana Wesleyan University with an MA in Education.
