Marissa Tanner is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. She is a 7th grade social studies teacher leader, Multi-Tiered System of Supports team member, and part of the Instructional Leadership Team at Northview Middle School in Indianapolis. Marissa develops rigorous and equitable curricula that strengthens students’ literacy and critical thinking skills. Previously, she taught high school social studies, including Advanced Placement courses, and served as a union representative. Marissa earned her BEd from Indiana University.
