Erin Taylor is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and a chemistry teacher at Mayfield High School, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She leads the chemistry PLC in the continuing transition to the Next Generation Science Standards, focusing on providing support for all learners, including special education students and emerging bilingual learners. Erin has taught physics, integrated science, and upper level math courses in the past, and served as department head and on the school leadership team. Erin was Mayfield High School Teacher of the Year (2019-2020) and semi-finalist for Las Cruces Public Schools Teacher of the Year (2019-2020). She earned her BA in Chemistry from Mount Holyoke College, her MA in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, and her MEd in Secondary Education.
