Marisa Taylor

Marisa Taylor is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and 10th grade humanities lead teacher and Co-Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Network Coordinator at Brooke High School in Boston. She previously worked at Roxbury Prep teaching 5th grade English language arts (ELA), 7th grade ELA and math, and was the  individual needs specialist and dean of curriculum and instruction. Marisa began her teaching career as a 2010 AmeriCorps member. She serves as a Center for Instructional Support and Curriculum Assessment Panelist for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and co-founded the Kelsey Elizabeth Taylor Foundation. Marisa received the Power of Our Example Award (2020–2021), The Urgency Award (2021–2022), and The Teacher’s Lounge A Beautiful Resistance Award (2026). She earned a BA in film studies and mass media communications from Fairfield University and MAT from Emmanuel College.
