Taylor Serrata is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Taylor teaches 3rd grade math and science at Peach Creek Elementary in Splendora, Texas. She is a member of the district’s Assessment Focus Group, the District Educational Improvement Committee, the Campus Improvement Committee, and serves as a campus mentor. Before joining Peach Creek Elementary, Taylor spent a year in Pasadena Independent School District as a self-contained 3rd grade teacher. During the 2017-2018 school year, Taylor founded and moderated Edcamp Splendora, empowering local educators to personalize their own learning, and was named Peach Creek Elementary’s Teacher of the Year. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Psychology and received her MS in Psychology from The University of Phoenix. She is enrolled in the Principal Certification Program at Lamar University.
