Kimberly Devine Tesluk is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a reading specialist at John F. Kennedy Elementary in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with 24 years of teaching experience, specializing in literacy for the past 18 years. Kimberly serves as an instructor for the American Federation of Teachers’ (AFT) Educational Research and Dissemination (ER&D) Reading Comprehension Instruction and Foundations II courses, and is an ER&D Peer Mentor. She was selected by the AFT to attend the National Trainer Academy in Washington, D.C., where she was certified as a national trainer for the reading comprehension instruction course. Kimberly is an Abington Community Library Board Member, School Coordinator for the Transforming Readers Program, International Literacy Association Member, and Keystone State Literacy Association Member. She earned a BA in elementary education K-6 and MEd in teaching and curriculum from The Pennsylvania State University, with reading specialist and administrative principal PK-12 from Holy Family University.
