Ginger Thompkins is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Belonging, Empowerment, and Mentorship Network Facilitator and an English language development teacher at Pittsburgh Arsenal PreK-5 in Pittsburgh. She is a family and community engagement coordinator, technology liaison, and coach for the 5th grade Battle of the Books program (2026). Ginger previously taught K-5 science, 3-5 literacy, and middle and high school English language development. She is on her school’s leadership team. Ginger participated in the Remake Learning, Shifting Power cohort (2021) and is a Wilson Reading Systems certified tutor. She earned her BS in elementary education from Slippery Rock University, MEd in reading from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages from LaRoche College.
