Wendy Threatt is a 2022-23 Teach Plus California Senior Policy Fellow who teaches 4th grade at Felicita Elementary School in Escondido. Wendy is a 22-year teaching veteran and a three-time Escondido Elementary Educator Association (EEEA) Teacher of the Year. Wendy is National Board Certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist and advocates on behalf of teachers in the district’s Insurance Committee and the DesignTeam, where she collaborated with other stakeholders to assist the district in navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Wendy sponsors an after-school STEM partnership with the Fleet Science Center and coaches with Girls on the Run. Wendy earned her BS in Mass Communications and MA in Teaching from Towson University
