Timothy Appel is a Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. Timothy teaches 2nd grade at Roger Clap Elementary in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Tim served on the governing board during the school’s transition from an Innovation School to an Extended Learning Time school and is a member of the school’s instructional leadership. Tim has also acted as a new teacher developer for Boston Public Schools and hosts student teachers from UMass Boston’s Teach Next Year education program. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and Writing from Concord University and MA in Education from Boston College.
