Tina Starks is a 2021-22 Teach Plus California Senior Policy Fellow and an Elementary Instructional Coach in the Fontana Unified School District where she supports K-5 teachers with instructional practices in all content areas. Tina designs and provides professional development for strategies in ELA, mathematics, and social justice instruction. She previously taught 3rd and 5th grades while serving as both lead teacher and RTI chairperson at Oakland Elementary School in McDonough, Georgia, where she was named Teacher of the Year. Tina graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in Japanese Language & Culture, and received her credential through Fresno State University.
