Tonya Farmer teaches kindergarten and is a math instructional coach for teachers at Gypsum Elementary School. Tonya was awarded the Effective Apple Award (February 2015), and has been nominated for Outstanding Educator of the Year and the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. She is helping write math curriculum for her district and the Colorado Department of Education. Tonya also serves as the Director of Communications for the Eagle County Education Association. She graduated with a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Central Missouri State University and received her MAT in Curriculum & Instruction from Saint Mary’s College.
