Traci Latson is a Houston ISD Career Pathways teacher leader, teaching 7th and 8th grade career education at Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School. She is committed to collaborative learning that engages students, staff, families, and the community. Traci serves as Career and Technical Education (CTE) department chairperson. Recently appointed to HISD Legislative Advisory Committee, Traci primarily assists in developing HISD’s legislative priorities, and provides feedback to the Government Relations department during federal and state legislative sessions. Traci currently serves as Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO voting delegate, and Houston Federation of Teachers Union Board Trustee. Her municipal appointments include the Houston Ethics Commission and Harris County Safe Schools Commission. Traci earned her BS in Microbiology from Southern University and A&M College and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction in Technology from Our Lady of the Lake University.
