Tayler Trew is a 5th grade teacher leader at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Sacramento, California. She focuses on leading the school in understanding the importance of educating Emergent Bilingual students on the ELPAC. Additionally, Tayler Trew has led grade level team meetings and was a member of the CORE Districts team that implements the Plan-Do-Study-Act Inquiry cycles. Tayler was nominated for 2018 Sacramento City Unified School District Teacher of the Year. She spent two years on the STEM Power team with CORE Districts learning about improvement science. Tayler implemented PDSA cycles at her school to encourage growth and improvement in all areas, and uses PDSA cycles with her students. She earned her BA in Liberal Studies with a history minor from California State University, Sacramento, and an MEd in Education from University of San Francisco. Tayler has just completed the preliminary administrative credential which makes her eligible to work in administration. She was also part of the Teach Plus Emergent Bilingual Change Agent Network Cohort 2, where she created an individual plan for Emerging Bilingual students.
