Tayler Trew is a 6th grade teacher leader at Cesar Chavez Intermediate School in Sacramento, California. She focuses on leading the school in following Leader in Me habits to demonstrate their own leadership. Additionally, Tayler Trew has led grade level team meetings and was a member of the CORE Districts team that implements the Plan-Do-Study-Act Inquiry cycles. Tayler was nominated for 2018 Sacramento City Unified School District Teacher of the Year. She spent two years on the STEM Power team with CORE Districts learning about improvement science. Tayler implemented PDSA cycles at her school to encourage growth and improvement in all areas, and uses PDSA cycles with her students. She earned her BA in Liberal Studies with a history minor from California State University, Sacramento, and an MEd in Education from University of San Francisco. She is working on obtaining a preliminary administrative credential from SCOE within the next year.
