Eulalia Valdez is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and is the director of English Language Learner Services at Berkeley SD 87 in Berkeley. She has served as Director of Language Acquisition for English language learners in Pre-K through 12th grade, as a building administrator and classroom teacher in bilingual and general education classrooms at various grade levels, and has supported the work of the Division of English Learners at the Illinois State Board of Education in the areas of assessment, guidance documents, and the state’s Seal of Biliteracy. She is a founding board member of the Illinois Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents. Eulalia obtained her BA in Spanish Business Translation and BS in Marketing from Northern Illinois University, her MA and teaching certificate from Aurora University, and MA in school leadership from Concordia University. She is working toward a doctoral degree in leadership from Aurora University.
