Marshanna Valrie is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and 10th–12th grade English and English Language Development (ELD) teacher at Alliance Patti and Peter Neuwirth Leadership Academy in Los Angeles. She leads student experience work promoting academic language and identity-affirming culture. Marshanna previously taught college transitions, creative writing, reading supports, and yearbook. She earned a BA in English and religious studies from the University of California, Riverside and MA in secondary education from Loyola Marymount University.
