Kwesi Vincent is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. He is a high school math teacher at the Academy at Palumbo in Philadelphia. Kwesi implements inquiry-based learning principles to increase equity and achievement in math classes and reduce math anxiety so students grow more confident in their mathematical abilities and set themselves up for success in college and beyond. He began his teaching career in Philadelphia in 2020 as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow and has since taught multiple high school mathematics courses across 9-12 grades. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania’s Urban Teaching Apprenticeship program and recipient of the Knowles Teaching Fellowship. Kwesi earned his BS in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and an MSEd in secondary education, with a mathematics specialization, from University of Pennsylvania.
