Jordan Vogel is a 2026 Teach Plus National Teacher Policy Cabinet Member and high school special education teacher at Hopewell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She serves on the School Improvement Team and Faculty Advisory Committee, where she collaborates with school leadership and colleagues to provide teacher input on school policies, instructional priorities, and initiatives that support student success.
Jordan previously taught social studies at an international school in Beijing, China. She has also taught special education in urban school districts in Denver, Colorado, and Buffalo, New York. Jordan began her teaching career in Buffalo as a 2019 Teach For America corps member and has since taught students with disabilities in grades 7 through 12.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Kentucky, where she studied history, anthropology, and secondary social studies education. She also holds a master’s degree in education from Canisius University, where she studied urban education and adolescents with disabilities.
