Emily Wagner is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Charter Teacher Policy Fellow and is a 7th grade English language development and social studies teacher at the Denver School of Science and Technology Cole Campus in Denver. She focuses on teaching students of multilingual and cultural backgrounds using new technologies and proven ESL strategies to support independence in reading, writing, speaking and listening while helping them build their confidence and leadership skills. Emily previously taught AP Government and civics/senior projects, 10th grade world history, 9-10th grade entrepreneurship, and 7-8th grade social studies. She also led her team as grade-level, content, and culture lead. She earned a BA in urban elementary education and a middle school endorsement in social sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she graduated from the Honors College, Summa Cum Laude.
