Natasha Warchol is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow and 3rd grade teacher leader and mentor at West Ave Elementary in Waco, Texas. She supports colleagues in implementing effective teaching strategies, often observing lessons, providing feedback, co-teaching, and modeling best practices. Natasha participated in the Teacher Leadership Academy (2023-2024 and 2024-2025), and is a grade level leader, Campus Decision Making Committee leader, and Campus Literacy Cohort Representative. She was named Humble Independent School District’s Teacher of the Year at Park Lakes Elementary (2019-2020), and received the Texas Education Agency’s Teacher Incentive Allotment Masters designation (2024). Natasha started her teaching career in Michigan in 2009 and has taught in Illinois, Virginia, Arizona, Nicaragua, and Texas, teaching grades K-5 and English to adults. She earned her BA in science education and MA in K-12 reading and literacy, both from Central Michigan University.
