Garfield Warren is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Charter Teacher Policy Fellow and is a 10-11th grade AP World History and AP African-American Studies teacher at Denver School of Science and Technology-Green Valley Ranch High School in Denver. He focuses on teaching children in areas of English language development and multilingual education in order to foster their self-efficacy. Garfield is an Urban Leaders Fellow. He collaborated with Colorado Rep. Jennifer Bacon to establish comprehensive support services and tax benefits for BIPOC communities and led an inaugural summer program to help develop leadership and advocacy skills in Denver youth as part of the organization’s Piton Fellows program. He earned a BS in public law and American government from Eastern Michigan University and an MPA with a focus on state agencies from Western Michigan University.
