Vontrice Watson is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and 10th grade English language arts teacher at Pershing High School in Detroit. She focuses on teaching reading and writing while helping students find their voice in learning. Vontrice serves as co-coach of the robotics team and has previously been a master teacher, department head, testing coordinator, and class advisor. She earned a BA in English language and literature from the University of Michigan and MA in educational leadership from Grand Valley State University, and is ABD in doctoral studies at the University of Phoenix.
