Peter Weller is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow. Peter teaches high school English and journalism at South Hadley High School in South Hadley, Massachusetts. He coordinates the district’s mentor program and organizes the annual Poetry Out Loud and Lions Youth Speech competitions. Peter has served as a mentor teacher for new staff, a supervising practitioner of English education practicum students, and a member of various school and district committees. He is the recipient of the Seventh Annual Teaching Excellence Award from South Hadley High School and the Pathfinder Award from Massachusetts Computer Using Educators. He earned his BA in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MEd in English education from Plymouth State University, an MET and Technology Integration Specialist Certificate from Boise State University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in educational leadership from University of New England.
