Latiphony Wells is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow, an 8th grade teacher leader, and middle school humanities lead teacher at Making Waves Academy in Richmond, California. She specializes in supporting students with English proficiency as an ELD instructor, and currently serves as both the ELA content lead teacher and humanities lead teacher. Latiphony has also served as president of the School Site Council for the past three years. She earned her BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English from Holy Names University in Oakland, California, where she also completed the teaching credential program.
