Wendy is a 2020-21 Texas Policy Fellow. She teaches International Baccalaureate Math Applications and Analysis and Personal Financial Literacy at Meridian School, in Rock Round, Texas. In addition to teaching, she serves as the Math Department Head, Grades 11 and 12 Team Lead, Academic Secondary Coordinator, and was named Meridian’s Teacher of the Year. Wendy previously served as a Title I Math Specialist for Leander ISD as well as a Math Teacher for Burleson ISD. Wendy is an advocate for Charter Schools with the Texas Public Charter School Association through the Teacher Advocacy Leadership Institute. Wendy holds Texas certifications for: 4-8 Generalist, and 4-8 Mathematics, 7-12 Mathematics, and ESL Supplemental. Wendy has an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University.
