Jessica Werntz

Jessica Werntz is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and Intervention Specialist at Highland Elementary School in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the district-wide Multi-Tiered System of Supports team and serves as a stakeholder on the Federal Program and Professional Development Committee. Previously, Jessica was a 3rd grade level leader. She received the “Be The E” award from her superintendent (2025), which is given to staff members who embody the traits of a Life Ready Graduate, and was honored by her principal with the “Be Uncommon” award for her outstanding efforts within her school community (2021-2022). Jessica earned a BA in elementary education from Shippensburg University, MA in language and literacy education with reading specialist certification from Millersville University, and MA in educational leadership with principal certification from Pennsylvania State University.
