Misty White is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and a middle school Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), social studies, and science teacher at Inspire Academy in Muncie, Indiana. She organizes monthly food banks and care closets, and serves on the board of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. Misty previously taught 4th grade and served as preK-8 Coordinator of Afterschool and Intersession programming. She is a two-time Robert P. Bell Teacher Grant Award recipient, has served on the Indiana Department of Education’s Afterschool Coalition, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She earned a BGS in marketing and communication from Ball State University and a graduate certificate in English as a New Language from Bethel University. Misty is currently working on obtaining her dual master’s degrees in management and leadership strategy, and curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University.
