Misty White is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Indiana Returning Policy Fellow. She is a middle school Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, social studies, and science teacher at Inspire Academy in Muncie, Indiana. Misty organizes monthly food banks and serves on the board of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. She previously taught 4th grade, served as pre-K-8 coordinator of afterschool and intersession programming, and was on the Indiana Department of Education’s Afterschool Coalition. Misty is a two-time Robert P. Bell Teacher Grant Award recipient (2017 and 2024) and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She earned a BGS in marketing and communication from Ball State University, graduate certificate in English as a New Language from Bethel University, and is pursuing dual master’s degrees in management and leadership strategy and curriculum and instruction at Western Governors University.
