Toya White is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. She is an English language arts teacher and HUB teacher at Jacksonville North Pulaski Titan Academy in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She focuses on credit recovery for overage and under-credited scholars as well as scholars with extenuating circumstances that prevent them from attending traditional school days. Toya has served as a mentor teacher to new teachers as well as young students who desire to go to traditional school settings. Toya began her teaching career in Parkin, Arkansas as an Arkansas Delta Teaching Scholar funded by the Walton Family Foundation. She earned a BA in English education from Philander Smith College and an MSE in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.
