Jessica Wilkes is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and a Lead Coach at Fairfield Academy in Chicago, Illinois. She focuses on building school climates and cultures by coaching teachers and supporting them to implement best teaching practices that include equity, fairness, and diversity in their classrooms that will lead to the greatest impact of student achievement. She has taught grade levels K-8, including being the grade level teacher lead, a part of the instructional leadership team, and intermediate team lead teacher. Jessica was named Rochelle Lee Teacher recipient and has received various grants throughout the years. Jessica began her teaching career in Louisville, Kentucky, as a Summer Bridge Instructor for middle school. She is currently a National Board-Certified Teacher – Early Childhood Generalist. She earned her BS in elementary education and an endorsement in ELA from Chicago State University and an MEd in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction from American College of Education.
