Deandrea Williams is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and a high school science teacher and mentor at Believe Circle City High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She focuses on teaching students in science to nurture their curiosity and to help them become knowledgeable and responsible citizens in understanding scientific issues that could potentially impact their lives. She is a mentor with Teach Indy ensuring other teachers feel confident, supported, and prepared to empower their students. Deandrea began her teaching career with Teach for America in Indiana teaching all high school grade levels. She earned her BA in health policy and management from Purdue University and is pursuing an MEd in science education from Relay University.
