Tennille Winston is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. Tennille is a 4th-5th grade hybrid teacher, PLC Leader, teacher leader candidate, and mentor at LISA Academy Arkansas Hybrid School in Little Rock, Arkansas. She focuses on closing the achievement gap for English language learners through tutoring and fostering students to be self-sufficient as non-traditional hybrid students. Tennille is a mentor to novice teachers and she conducts district parent orientation for prospective students. Tennille was awarded the Reading Award for overall student excellence. Tennille began her teaching career in Little Rock, Arkansas as a 4th grade teacher and response to intervention specialist. Since then she has taught hybrid school between kindergarten and fifth grade. She has earned a BS in psychology from the University of Phoenix in Arizona and a MEd in English language learning from Capella University.
