Dan Wolford is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and social studies teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School in Detroit. He teaches world history, Advanced Placement world history, sports marketing, and sports analytics. Dan is the lead social studies teacher, runs his school’s Sports M3 Pathway, and is the board secretary for All of the Above Hip Hop Academy in Lansing. He has served on the textbook adoption committee and was a member of the Social Studies Think Tank. Dan earned a BA in interdisciplinary social studies education and MA in teaching and curriculum from Michigan State University, and a PhD in educational leadership studies from the University of Kentucky.
