Meghan Woodring is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. Meghan is a 6th grade math teacher at Jenkins Middle School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She spearheads her school’s global education travel program to support her middle school students in expanding their worldview, and co-leads her school’s chapter of National Junior Honor Society. Meghan published her undergraduate capstone, “Hierarchies of Access: Colonial Influences on India’s Education System” with the Tufts University Journal of International Affairs (2018), and was recognized as a Colorado Department of Education Future Educator Honor Roll recipient (2021). Meghan began her career as an elementary math interventionist in Fort Collins, Colorado, and has since shifted to classroom teaching in 6th and 7th grade math. She earned her BA in Global Studies with a concentration in Development Studies, and BS in Math Education from Pacific Lutheran University, and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
