Maren Woods is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and kindergarten teacher at Rio Gallinas School for Ecology and the Arts in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She serves as instructional materials and experiences coordinator and as a member of the school leadership team. Prior to her current role, Maren spent over a decade teaching in early childhood classrooms, from infant and toddler care through elementary. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and has worked with childcare programs to increase quality ratings through the New Mexico FOCUS system. She earned a BA in early childhood multicultural education (birth through age 3) from New Mexico Highlands University.
