Veronica Wylie is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Arkansas & Mississippi Policy Fellow and assistant principal at Hazlehurst High School in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. She serves as robotics team coach and mentor. Veronica previously taught science at Crystal Springs Middle School and Denver North High School. She received the American Chemical Society (ACS) Hach Scholarship (2020), was awarded the Fund for Teachers Fellowship (2020–2021), and was named Mississippi Outstanding Earth Science Teacher (2022). She also serves as chair of the Copiah County Democratic Executive Committee. Veronica earned a BS in chemistry with a minor in African studies from Loyola Marymount University, MS in chemistry education from Illinois State University, MA in secondary science education from the University of Colorado Denver, MDiv from Denver Seminary, and PhD in educational leadership from Jackson State University.
