Yolanda Crawford is a 5th grade mathematics teacher at John P. Freeman Optional School where she also co-sponsors the Chi Alpha Mu National Junior Mathematics Club. An educator since 1996, she has a strong belief in developing a love for learning in students. Yolanda has been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2006, and mentored several National Board Candidates. Having a thirst for continuous improvement, she sought out opportunities to enrich her profession. Yolanda has been a TNCore Mathematics Coach, a Measurement Inc. Range-finder committee member, a Learning Coach, and a member of the Shelby County Schools Math Cohort. She has also facilitated professional development in mathematics in her school and district. Yolanda grew up in the public school system of Memphis graduating from Hamilton High School. She recently received an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Freed-Hardeman University.
