Andrew Young is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and an 8th-grade English teacher and yearbook adviser at Woodland Junior High School in Fayetteville. He serves as the chair and junior high representative on the Fayetteville Public Schools Policy and Personnel Committee (PPC) in order to be a voice for teachers in the district. Andrew was named Special Recognition Yearbook Adviser of the Year by JEA (2021); Outstanding Young Alumni from the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions (2020); and Fayetteville Public Schools Teacher of the Year (2018). Andrew is a National Board Certified Teacher and serves as the president of the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association. He earned his BA in English and political science, as well as his MAT in English education and teacher certification from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
