LeShundra Young is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is a high school biology and chemistry teacher at Germantown High School in Madison. She serves as the science department chair and as a cooperating teacher for prospective teachers seeking certification. LeShundra is a National Board and College Board Advanced Placement Certified Teacher who has also served as a Teach Mississippi Institute National Board Mentor, PAEMST State Mentor, Vice President-Elect of the Mississippi Chapter of PAEMST State Nominees, and more. She was named a Mississippi Economic Council Star Teacher (2017, 2022), Germantown High School Key of Excellence in Science (2016), and was named Presidential Award of Excellence in Math and Science Teacher Awardee (2019). She earned a BS in Biological Science from Mississippi College and an MEd in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix.
